Students develop knowledge of how this interdisciplinary program applies cultural, political and social theory to a study of the processes of social development. They also explore issues such as capitalism, prejudice and discrimination, scientific rationality, ethnicity, nationalism, globalisation and identity, media, gender and sexuality, Marxist, critical, structuralist and post-structuralist theories. Course structureCourse requirementsStudents are required to complete a three-year major sequence (48 points) in comparative cultures.
