The centre offers a masters and PhD by research. Areas of research specialisation include: the relationship between identity and cultural, historical and conceptual constructions of race/culture; nationalism and the role of Indigenous history and identity; images representations; gender; cross-cultural interactions; ethics, politics, human rights and cultural property; contact and exploration; Indigenous education; the history of colonisation of Australia; Aboriginal rock music; racism and sport; and public policy.
