It is one of Australia’s leading schools of pharmacy, offering professional qualifications and further education for the pharmacy profession, undergraduate programs in formulation science and medicinal chemistry, and research higher degrees. The Victorian College of Pharmacy is located at Monash's Parkville campus, in close proximity to other leading research organisations, residential colleges and teaching hospitals in the ‘Parkville strip’. It shares its premises with the Pharmacy Board of Victoria and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia (Victorian Branch) Ltd. The Parkville campus comprises laboratory facilities, lecture rooms, seminar rooms, library, computer laboratory and other student amenities. The construction of a fourth building commenced in 2005 in order to accommodate recent growth in undergraduate numbers and research activity. There are four departments within the Victorian College of Pharmacy: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacy Practice, Medicinal Chemistry, and Pharmaceutical Biology and Pharmacology. All departments are headed by internationally recognised research professors. Administration is managed through the Office of the Dean. Selection and course inquiries should be directed to the faculty office. Previous page | Next page | Section contents | Title and contents |
