Course description

The course aims to prepare graduate for careers in the management of information and the development of information systems. It provides students with the skills needed to solve information problems and take advantage of information-related opportunities in business, commerce, government and the community.

Course structure

Students enrolled prior to 2006 should note the changes to the third-year-level course structure.

Course requirements

Students must complete a total of 144 points including:

  • a minimum of 42 points of first-year units and not exceeding a maximum of 60 points of first-year units
  • a minimum of 36 points of second-year units
  • a minimum of 36 points of third-year units
  • and must pass all the core units of the degree (108 core points).

Students must also successfully complete six electives (36 points), of which:

  • a maximum 18 points of first-year units are chosen
  • a minimum of 6 points must be third-year electives
