Course descriptionThis course is designed to meet a need for a bachelors-level special education degree. Course structureTo be eligible for the award of the four-year Bachelor of Educational Studies (Special Education) degree, a candidate must complete units totalling 192 points. Students will normally be admitted to the course with either 96 points or 144 points of advanced standing. To be eligible for the degree, they will then be required to complete a program of study with either a further 96 points or 48 points. Course requirementsFor students with two years of approved teaching trainingStudents entering the course with two years of approved teacher training will receive 96 points. To be eligible for the award of Bachelor of Educational Studies (Special Education), students must complete 16 six-point units at third and fourth-year levels as follows: Third-year level - core units
Third-year level - elective unit
Fourth-year level - core units
Fourth-year level - elective units
For students with three years of approved teacher trainingStudents entering the course with three years of approved teacher training will receive 144 points. To be eligible for the award of the Bachelor of Educational Studies (Special Education), students must complete eight 6-point units at fourth-year level as follows: Core units
