Course description

Candidates for the Graduate Diploma in Engineering Maintenance Management are able to articulate to the Master of Maintenance and Reliability Engineering, provided they have maintained an average of 65% or more. Attendance is required at a residential school in each year.

Entry requirements

Applicants are required to have a degree or approved diploma in engineering or similar field from an approved institution, or eligibility for graduate membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia, or completion of the Graduate Certificate in Maintenance Management or Reliability Engineering with an average grade of 65%. Applicants without such a qualification may apply for the graduate certificate programs.

The course consists of eight units (6 points each).

First year

  • GEG7044 Industrial techniques in maintenance management
  • GEG7064 Maintenance techniques

Second year

(Residential school in September)

  • GEG7034 Quantitative techniques for asset management
  • GEG7054 Machine condition monitoring and fault diagnosis
  • GEG7154 Risk engineering
  • GEG7094 Maintenance and reliability engineering project
