Full CPA membership requires the completion of six CPA units. Entry requirementsApplicants need to have completed, with an average grade of credit or above, a pass degree with a major in the discipline of accounting, banking or finance, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution. Advanced standingCandidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of four credit exemptions (24 points) for units considered to be equivalent to particular units in the course of study. Candidates who can show that substantial study has been completed at undergraduate level that overlaps the content of a graduate unit may apply to substitute an elective unit. Course structureA total of eight units is required. (a) Students must complete four units (24 points) from the following list:

(c) Students must complete three units (18 points) from: (b) above, or from graduate-level units from the departments of the Faculty of Business and Economics, but no more than one taken from an external institution. Students who successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting with an average grade of credit or above may apply for admission to the Master of Business (Accounting).
