Executive certificates

Any variations to the criteria listed below are listed in the individual course entries.

Entry requirements

  • have at least six years of relevant employment experience, and
  • have been either an owner manager or in a management/supervisory position or administering expenditure in excess of $500,000 pa for at least two years, and
  • be recommended by their employer or, if self-employed, provide suitable references.

Duration

Executive certificates require the completion of four units (24 points) and are normally completed in one semester of full-time study or part-time equivalent.

Progression to further studies

Students who complete an executive certificate with an average grade of credit or above are eligible to apply for admission to a range of graduate diplomas or masters offered by the Graduate School of Business. Students may apply for advanced standing up to a maximum of four units towards the relevant graduate diploma or masters depending upon the units that have been studied in the executive certificate. Students who successfully complete the graduate diploma with an average grade of credit or above may be eligible to continue their studies in the relevant masters by coursework degree.
