  • Students seeking admission to translation studies programs are required by the faculty to achieve a higher IELTS score of 7.0 overall (including 7.0 for writing and at least 6.0 for each band), or a TOEFL equivalent of 600 overall, including a Test of Written English score (TWE) of 5.
  • Successful completion of a course of tertiary studies of at least two years duration requiring formal assessment of written work in an English-speaking country together with, at the faculty’s discretion, documentary evidence of recent diagnostic testing indicating an acceptable overall score in the IELTS test (see above) or TOEFL test (see above).
  • Successful completion of a course of tertiary studies of at least two years duration conducted entirely in English and requiring formal assessment of written work in an institution where the official language of instruction and communication is English, together with, at the faculty’s discretion, documentary evidence of recent diagnostic testing indicating an acceptable overall score in the IELTS test (see above) or TOEFL test (see above).
  • Satisfactory completion of the English Language Bridging Program at the Monash University English Language Centre.
