This course provides major studies in the theory, practice, technology and research techniques of mass communications together with studies at Chisholm TAFE that provide students with the theoretical base and the practical skills in a variety of writing, editing and production tasks.
Students must complete 96 credit points in the Bachelor of Communication component and 10 modules in the Diploma of Arts (Professional Writing and Editing) component.
Arts
sequences offered at Berwick include behavioural studies, Indonesian,
international studies, journalism, psychology and visual culture.
Alternatively, students select a sequence of arts units taught at one of the
other campuses of the university. Students who opt for this alternative should
note that it will involve travelling to another campus to attend lectures, and
close attention will need to be paid to the lecture timetable.
