Doctor of Philosophy

The Doctor of Philosophy program may be undertaken in any of the principal areas of research. Students may nominate their preferred area of study. However, they are strongly encouraged to discuss their research interests with senior research staff to ensure appropriate facilities, equipment and services are available, and to obtain guidance on suitable topics.
Applicants require an honours or masters degree in pharmacy or other related field from a recognised tertiary institution, or equivalent qualifications and experience.
Applications must be submitted to the research programs manager by 31 October of the year prior to their proposed commencement of studies. Application documentation must include an academic transcript, official syllabi of undergraduate units undertaken, the names of two academic referees, an indication of the research area of interest, and any other requirements set by the Monash Research Graduate School. Studies for the PhD degree normally commence in March of each year.
