Candidates for PhD or masters by research may apply for an Australian
Postgraduate Award (APA), a Monash Research Graduate Scholarship (MGS), or a
research scholarship offered through the faculty on the basis of academic
merit. Some industry scholarships are also available to graduate students
studying in the faculty.
Further details on eligibility and scholarship terms and conditions are
available from the Monash Research Graduate School, Clayton campus.
Graduate
students of excellent quality may be eligible for Intersearch, an occasional
graduate research program conducted at international level in the United States
and Australia through the University of Kansas and the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Intersearch is designed to provide intensive training in research methodology
within the Doctor of Philosophy program, and concurrent international
experience.
Graduates from this program will be trained in a manner suitable to the needs
of the pharmaceutical industry and institutions of higher learning in both
countries.
This joint program will admit a student from either institution to either
campus. Students undertaking the program must engage in studies for at least 12
months on each campus.
Further information, including details of any financial support, may be
obtained from the dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, who acts as Australian
secretary for the executive committee of Intersearch.
