Course description

This certificate provides students with the opportunity to undertake a short refresher course to gain quantitative and computer skills, or a pathway course towards some of the postgraduate programs available in the faculty.

Course structure

(a) Students must complete one core unit (six credit points):

• AFX9510 Quantitative methods

(b) Students must complete a further two units (12 credit points) from:

• ETF9121 Data analysis in business
• ETF9200 Econometric analysis in business
• ETF9300 Financial econometrics
• ETF9480 Business modelling
• ETX9520 Quantitative methods for risk analysis

(c) Students must complete one further 9000-level unit (six credit points) taught by the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics or other faculties of Monash University.
