The course is designed for regionally based workers from diverse sectors who have a responsibility to engage with community groups, welfare organisations and local government. It provides knowledge of rural and regional community development principles and practices, with an emphasis on collaborative and self-directed learning.
The minimum requirement for entry is one of the following:
Applicants
who are not native speakers of English will be required to demonstrate
substantial competence in written and spoken English before admission. These
requirements are:
(i) education in full English medium in an English-speaking country, or
(ii) IELTS - 7.0 global (no score below 6); TOEFL - 600 with TWE of 5;
computer-based TOEFL - 250.
The course will comprise 24 credit points of part-time study over two semesters. There will be four six-point units as follows:
