Course description

Entry requirements

Applicants who have completed an honours degree with a grade of H2A or above, or a recognised masters qualifying program with a research component with a distinction average grade or above, and a grade of distinction or above for the research component, may be admitted to the MA in Asian studies by a combination of coursework and research. Previous study of an Asian language at university level is normally assumed.
Applicants for this program are required to submit a 1000-word research proposal and are accepted into this program subject to there being a suitable member of staff willing to supervise the proposed research.

Candidates will normally be required to enrol on the Clayton campus for all of the units in the coursework component and then to apply for transfer to external candidature.
