Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences

The faculty

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences is one of the largest in Australia and is internationally renowned for its leadership in teaching, research and delivery of clinical and public health services. Faculty teachers and researchers are prominent leaders in their fields, and all actively participate in planning and implementing innovative health care and service delivery models in Australia and throughout the Asia Pacific region.
The faculty delivers postgraduate programs of only the highest quality in a variety of areas, including medicine, nursing, radiography and medical imaging, psychology, ambulance and paramedic studies, social work and biomedical science. Its research programs are world renowned, especially in the areas of reproductive biology, male and female infertility, embryonic stem cells and IVF, as well as other research areas at the cutting edge which may one day contribute significantly to the defence against degenerative conditions.
The faculty has strong international links, established through research collaborations, professional relationships and, increasingly, through international graduates from our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This international network exposes students to opportunities not available in many other medical faculties.
