The course recognises the fundamental importance of risk management in today's commercial world and seeks to provide graduates with extended skills in these areas. It prepares students for the increasingly complex risk management issues they will face when employed in many areas of business and in government agencies. The course also provides education for practitioners seeking to meet professional education requirements or update their knowledge in specific risk management areas. It is also suitable for people who regularly deal with risk management issues in other business areas such as financial planning or investment areas and for those who wish to complete a preliminary course of risk management studies.

any discipline, within any faculty, subject to approval from the course
director.
Students who successfully complete the Graduate Diploma in Risk Management may
apply for admission to the Master of Risk Management.
