Graduate Certificate of Business (Management)

The course is designed primarily for graduates who wish to increase their knowledge and skills in management theory and practice. It is appropriate for existing or prospective managers who can demonstrate the appropriate level of academic competence.

Course structure

(a) Students must complete one core unit (six credit points):

• MGG9370 Management theory and practice

(b) A minimum of one additional core unit selected from the following:

• MGG9352 Management processes and systems
• MGG9324 Human resource management
• AFG9070 Financial management

(c) Two elective units:

Two elective units, subject to approval from the course director. Candidates should be aware of the compulsory unit requirements of the Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) and the Master of Business Management when selecting elective units, should future articulation into these courses be a consideration.
Completion of the Graduate Certificate of Business (Management) may apply for admission to either the Graduate Diploma of Business (Management) and the Master of Business Management.
