Candidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of six units considered to be equivalent to particular requirements in the course of study. Advanced standing is restricted to study completed in the last five years. The program coordinator assesses advanced standing.

(i) Two units (12 credit points) chosen from the following units:

Four units (24 credit points) from (i) or other units taught by the Department
of Management, providing the selection meets overall course objectives and
receives program coordinator approval, or
(iii) In place of up to two electives students may enrol in unit/s taught by
other departments from the Faculty of Business and Economics, or other
faculties of Monash University with course director approval, or
(iv) In place of four electives students may enrol in MGX5901
Research report (introduction) (12 points) and MGX5900 Research report (12
points): a 20,000 word research report.
Students should complete four 9000-level graduate units before commencing
5000-level units.
Masters students need to study a minimum of four 5000-level units or
equivalent.
* Students who have not completed undergraduate degrees in business are strongly encouraged to complete these units.
