Entry requirements

Applicants should normally have completed an honours degree in politics or a related discipline with at least an H2B result; or masters qualifying in politics or a related discipline with at least an H2B result; or a postgraduate diploma in politics or a related discipline with at least a credit average.

Course structure

Students complete 48 points consisting of four units chosen from the following list:

• PLM5310 Wars of recognition: terrorism and political violence
• PLM5320 Republicanism and constitutionalism in Australia

• PLM5440 Global soul: consumers, citizens and rebels
• PLM5480 Culture, norms and ideas in international politics
• PLM5520 Perspectives on world politics
• PLM5600 Strategic studies
• PLM5620 Research project (politics)
• PLM5800 Australian national government
