Applied biology

The discipline

The School of Applied Sciences offers a major sequence in applied biology and a minor sequence in human physiology. The major sequence in applied biology studies in biochemistry, microbiology and molecular biology, and has a strong emphasis on modern experimental techniques and their relevant medical, industrial and environmental applications.

The minor sequence in human physiology looks at the relationship between structure and function in the human body. This sequence complements the applied biology and psychology major sequences.
