Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Computer Science


General information

Course code: 3517 + Clayton campus

The combined course for the degrees of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Computer Science is normally four years of full-time study or eight years of part-time study. Graduates will have the combined talents of a computer technologist as well as having highly developed technological and scientific skills, including problem solving, numeracy and the application of information technology to scientific disciplines.

Except with the permission of both faculties, students will be required to complete the combined course within 10 years.

Course requirements

The course comprises 96 points of science units and 96 points of computer science units. At most 60 points of level-one units can be taken overall. For the purposes of this course, computer science units are not counted as science units. Students must complete the following units:

Stage one
Stage two
Stages three and four

* Students who have not completed the prerequisite requirements for MTH1030 should complete MTH1020 and MTH1030 at Stage 1, complete MTH2010 instead of SCI2010 at Stage 2, and complete SCI2010 instead of one of the science elective units at Stage 3.
