The Faculty of Science offers a variety of courses, based either on conventional on-campus teaching at the Clayton, Gippsland or Malaysia campuses or off-campus learning, or both.
Most science courses listed below are managed by the Faculty of Science and are described in more detail in the section `Outline of undergraduate courses' for the relevant campus. However, some double- degree courses are managed by the collaborating faculty, and further details of the course structure and requirements are provided in that faculty's section of the handbook.

Three years of study, principally in the area of biotechnology based on microbiology, chemistry and biochemistry, leading to the degree of BSc(Biotech).
Three years of study, principally in the areas of chemistry, microbiology and environmental science, leading to the degree of BSc(EnvMgt).
An individual course of study of two or three years, leading to the degree of BSc(ScSchProg).
A four-year double-degree course offered in collaboration with the Faculty of Business and Economics, leading to the degrees of BSc/BBusCom.
