Bachelor of Engineering

The Monash Malaysia campus commenced the engineering program in July 1998. It offers some of the same programs as those available on Monash's Australian campuses. Intakes occur twice a year. The common first year provides students with the appropriate preparation for all the branches of engineering. The branches of engineering presently available in Malaysia include electrical and computer systems engineering, mechatronics engineering and mechanical engineering. The Institution of Engineers, Australia (IEAust) has given provisional accreditation to these three programs. These programs can be completed entirely in Malaysia. Other branches may be offered in the future, but students wishing to complete those branches at present will be required to transfer to the relevant Australian campus subject to the normal quotas that may exist. The details of the three branches of engineering that are offered are the same as those given at the Australian campuses.
