A combined course for the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Social Work degrees enables students to take out both degrees after four years of full- time study. Students complete 192 points of study in core arts and social work components
To satisfy the arts component of the double degree, students must complete
96 arts points (studies drawn from disciplines offered by schools in the
Faculty of Arts), including a major, a minor, another first-year sequence and a
further 12 points. In the first two years, students must be careful to select
24 points of arts units that satisfy the requirements of the Australian
Association of Social Workers.

Note that it is possible to graduate from the Bachelor of Arts before
completing all double degree requirements. To graduate from the Bachelor of
Arts component of the double degree, students must have satisfied the above BA
component requirements as well as successfully completed studies to the total
value of 144 points. That is, students count up to 48 points of social work
units towards those 144 points. Students must also complete at least 36 points
at third-year level. No more than 60 points at first-year level may be counted.
