Graduate Diploma in Health Informatics


General information

This course offered by the Centre for Medical Informatics is designed to meet the educational needs of health professionals who need to upgrade their knowledge and understanding of the rapidly changing issues of information technology in the health arena.

Applicants should have completed the Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently employed in a senior position in a health-related area. Candidates are required to have access to a computer and the internet.

Course structure

The course can be undertaken full-time over one year or part-time over two years and comprises five core units.

Core units

Advanced standing

Credit will be granted for work previously completed in Monash University's Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics. All cases will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

Assessment

Assessment includes essays, assignments and case study work.
