Graduate Certificate in Clinical Medicine


This course, proposed to be offered in 2003, is currently under review

This course, proposed to be offered by the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine, will assist medical practitioners to work rationally and efficiently in today's rapidly changing health environment. The course can be taken over a six-month period of one full-time semester and will be offered by off-campus learning (distance education) with some compulsory block requirements. It will cover the fundamentals of evidence-based medicine, focusing on issues related to screening, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy. It is proposed that this course will articulate with the Master of Clinical Medicine. Applicants must be registered as a medical practitioner by a medical board within the Commonwealth or within their own country and have extensive clinical experience.
