This course is designed to provide those involved in the health care industry with knowledge and skill in the principles of health economics, and their application to health care policy and evaluation. The economic analysis of developments in the health care sector is of interest to those involved in the production, use, delivery and regulation of health care programs and interventions.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a
recognised tertiary institution. This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should
consult the Centre for Health Program Evaluation as to the 2003 course fee.
Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to
change.
The graduate certificate is normally completed in three semesters of part-time
study. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for
units considered to be equivalent to particular units in the course of study.
