Postgraduate Diploma in Politics
Course code: 1399 + Clayton campus + Mid-year entry
available + Course coordinator: Nick Economou
Applicants should normally have completed a bachelors degree with
a major in politics, or a Faculty Certificate in Politics with grades of at
least credit average. Subject to the approval of the school graduate
coordinator, applicants who have completed a major in a cognate discipline may
be admitted.
Students successfully complete 48 points consisting of four units
chosen from the list below. Candidates who wish to be eligible to apply for
subsequent admission to the Master of Politics by research must include
PLM4060.

- PLM4340 Fringe politics: magical voices or global challenges (subject
to approval)
- PLM4310 Globalism and governance
- PLM4320 Republicanism and constitutionalism in Australia

- PLM4480 Culture, norms and ideas in international politics
- PLM4520 Perspectives on world politics
- PLM4600 Strategic studies: a critical introduction
