Master of Australian Studies (one-year program)


General information

Course code: 3089 + Clayton campus + Mid-year entry available + Coordinator: Vicki Peel

Synopsis

This course is designed to introduce students to the study of Australian society and culture at an advanced level. It draws on a combination of interdisciplinary courses and others which are centred in a particular discipline. The common ground is the preoccupation with Australian values and identity.

Entry requirements

Students who have an honours degree with a grade of H2B or above, or a degree or graduate diploma which is considered to be equivalent, or a masters qualifying with grades of credit average or above may be admitted to the course.

Students complete 48 points, including two core units and two electives chosen from the following list:

The above electives are not offered every year, and students should check the relevant unit entry. Other appropriate units may be taken with the approval of the school graduate coordinator and the faculty.
