This course is designed to provide those involved in the health care industry with knowledge and skill in the principles of health economics, and their applicaton to health care policy and education. The economic analysis of developments in the health care sector is of interest to those involved in the production, use, delivery and regulation of health care programs and interventions.
Applicants require a pass degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution or a minimum of two years relevant employment experience. The course is normally completed in two semesters of part-time study. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit exemptions for units considered to be equivalent to particular units of the course of study. Refer to the course director for further details.
The course consists of three core units and one elective unit.
