The Faculty of Science offers a variety of teaching styles, including conventional on-campus classroom teaching, teleteaching and off-campus distributed learning (distance education). Off-campus distributed learning (OCDL) is a flexible mode of study which is based on a combination of independent learning materials and learning support systems; on-campus attendance by students is either not required or is kept to a minimum. Each unit studied in the distributed learning mode has the same content and assessment as the equivalent on-campus unit.
