DEGREE CONVERSION

• Year one
• Year two

To complete the degree conversion, ambulance paramedics require the successful completion of units totalling 72 credit points, and MICA paramedics require the successful completion of units totalling 24 credit points, both with concurrent work experience.
The units required include four compulsory core units as follows:

Year one

• PAR3010 Professional issues in paramedic practice
• PAR3020 Trends in pre-hospital care services

Year two

• PAR3030 Ethical, legal and cultural issues
• PAR3040 Evidence-based practice

These units will be supplemented by electives offered by MUCAPS, and a minor stream of electives chosen from outside the faculty.
