The course consists of one unit, CPE4000, which requires 48 points of study: 24 points of coursework at fourth level and a 24 point thesis. Students wishing to proceed from honours to further research degrees would be strongly encouraged to follow this structure. An alternative structure would allow 36 points of coursework at fourth level and a research project of 12 points. Each student's course of study in CPE4000 will require approval by the head of school.
This
honours degree has as its basic aim to provide students with an in-depth
knowledge of an area of study relevant to network computing and provide a
preparation for further research.
On the successful completion of this degree, students will have:
Two semesters full-time.
Completion of the Bachelor of Network Computing degree, with a credit average in results in level three units.
Students may be granted up to 24 points credit for units previously completed at fourth level in the area of network computing, provided any such units have not been used to qualify for any other award.
