The Bachelor of Business and Information Technology course is identical to the
Bachelor of Business Systems offered at Clayton. The different name used at the
Monash Malaysia campus better indicates the content of the degree in the
Malaysian environment. Elective units are normally drawn from the Bachelor of
Business and Commerce degree offered at the campus.
The Private Higher Educational Institutions Act 1996 of Malaysia requires
students to take three units: Malaysian studies, a national language (there is
one unit for Malaysian citizens and another for citizens of other countries),
and either Islamic studies (Muslim students) or moral studies (other students).
