Each
double-degree program is designed to provide a broadly based business education
together with a major study in one specialised area of business (accounting,
banking and finance, management or marketing) and one specialised area of arts
(English, politics, psychology or sociology). In addition, minor studies for
the arts component are available in these disciplines and in philosophy,
history and labour studies. In the Bachelor of Arts, a minor sequence normally
consists of a first-year-level sequence valued at 12 points followed by
second-year-level units valued at not less than 16 points in an approved
discipline. The major sequence is a minor sequence plus third-year-level units
valued at not less than 16 points, plus an additional eight points taken at
either the second or third-year level.
Candidates in these double degrees are required to meet the individual
requirements of both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Business
specialisation. Students would normally complete these double degrees in four
years of full-time study.
