Bachelor of Music (Honours)

To be eligible for entry to the Bachelor of Music (Honours) program, students
must have achieved distinction grades in at least 24 points of music at second
and third-year levels.
- MUS4030 Special project: practical study, with extended, fully annotated
concert recital and essay (or other approved project)
Plus three of the
following eight-point units:
- MUS4010 Applied music
- MUS4200 Keyboard music
- MUS4580 Contemporary music
- MUS4980 Music pedagogy
- MUS4760 Special project: folio of compositions plus concert performance
of at least one composition with program notes
- MUS4420 Research methods
Plus two of the following:
- MUS4580 Contemporary music
- MUS4270 World music, popular culture and song writing in Australia and
Asia
- MUS4200 Keyboard music
Plus two of the following:
- MUS4200 Keyboard music
- MUS4580 Contemporary music
- MUS4980 Music pedagogy
Plus the following two units:
- MUS4640 Fieldwork techniques and technology
- MUS4860 Music of Southeast Asia II: Thailand
All
units listed are offered subject to the availability of staff and sufficient
enrolments.
