The open access pathway enables students to complete a Monash Bachelor of Arts entirely from Open Learning units. Students are required to complete 24 units, including a major, minor, and a third first-year arts sequence, and achieve no less that a credit result for each unit. A major sequence must be selected from the following OLA streams, offered by Monash: history --politics, philosophy, sociology. A minor sequence can be selected from art history, Australian studies, gender studies, Chinese, communication and media development, Spanish, or from one of the disciplines not selected as a major.
