Master of Clinical Medicine


This course is currently under review. It is offered by the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine and will assist medical practitioners to work rationally and efficiently in today's rapidly changing health environment. The course can be undertaken over a 12 to 18-month period of three full-time semesters or over a three-years part-time, and is offered as a combination of off-campus distributed learning (distance education) and on-campus teaching. This degree provides education in the fundamentals of evidence-based medicine, emphasising issues related to screening, diagnosis, prognosis and therapy, and the application of these concepts to a broad number of medical specialties.
Applicants must be registered as a medical practitioner by a Medical Board within the Commonwealth, or within their own country and have extensive clinical experience.

Course structure

The course will be comprised of four core units, eight elective units and a series of case studies.
