This
course offered by the Centre for Medical Informatics is designed to meet the
educational needs of health professionals who need to upgrade their knowledge
and understanding of the rapidly changing issues of information technology in
the health arena.
Candidates should have completed the Graduate Certificate in Health
Informatics. Preference will be given to applicants who are currently employed
in a senior position in a health-related area. Candidates are required to have
access to a computer and the internet.
The course can be undertaken full-time over one year or part-time over two years and comprises five core units.
Credit will be granted for work previously completed in Monash University's Graduate Certificate in Health Informatics. All cases will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
Assessment includes essays, assignments and case study work.
