This course is currently under review. It is offered by the Department of
Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine and will assist medical practitioners to
work rationally and efficiently in today's rapidly changing health environment.
The course can be taken over a six-month period of one full-time semester and
is offered by off-campus distributed learning (distance education) with some
compulsory block requirements. This degree covers the fundamentals of
evidence-based medicine, focusing on issues related to screening, diagnosis,
prognosis and therapy. The course articulates with the Master of Clinical
Medicine.
Applicants must be registered as a medical practitioner by a medical board
within the Commonwealth or within their own country and have extensive clinical
experience.
The course will be comprised of four core units.
