Master of Applied Economics


General information

The course has been designed for graduates with an undergraduate degree in economics, finance, econometrics or their equivalent, seeking to extend, deepen and upgrade their knowledge in order to apply that to the workplace. Specialisations are offered in the areas of Asian and international economics, finance, health economics, and econometrics. Course intake is available in semester one and semester two. The course comprises eight units, including three core units in economics which can be completed in two semesters of full-time study or four semesters of part-time study.

This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of Economics as to the 2002 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.

Course structure

The course consists of eight units.

Two compulsory core units:
Two units from one of the following specialisations
Asian/international economics
Finance
