Graduate Diploma in Human Resources


General information

This course is designed primarily for graduates from a range of disciplines who wish to develop their human resource and industrial relations knowledge and skills.
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution or an executive certificate from this faculty with an average grade of credit or above. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of four credit exemptions for units considered to be equivalent to particular units in the course of study. Credit is restricted to study completed in the last five years. Refer to the course director for further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Faculty of Business and Economics -- Gippsland as to the 2002 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.

Course structure*

The course consists of three core units and five elective units.

First year

Second year

(c) Four 9000-level elective units, or two 9000-level elective units and two 5000-level elective units. Electives must be chosen from graduate units taught by the Department of Management, other departments in the Faculty of Business and Economics, or other faculties of Monash University, subject to course director approval.
