director: Dr Julie Wolfram Cox + Offered either on-campus at Caulfield
campus, or in-house at an alternative venue as required + Normally completed
in one semester of full-time study or two semesters of part-time study
This four-unit course allows employers the opportunity to sponsor their senior
managers into a four-unit graduate certificate. Companies wishing to encourage
their managers to study in graduate diploma or masters course can use this
course as a useful starting point for those who wish to continue with higher
study, and as a useful exit point for those requiring specific educational
programs.
The Graduate Certificate of Business will enable employers to select the four
units from any of the graduate diploma programs in the Faculty of Business and
Economics which are most appropriate for their managers.
Both the Graduate Certificate of Business and the Graduate Certificate in
Management have been specifically designed to enable employers to sponsor their
middle to senior managers for an accredited qualification.
Applicants require a pass degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised
tertiary institution. Applicants without a first degree who have a minimum of
six years appropriate employment experience should refer to the section on
executive certificates. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of two credit
exemptions for units considered to be equivalent to particular units in the
course of study. Credit is restricted to study completed in the last five
years. Refer to the course director for further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of
Management as to the 2002 course fee. Course fees are set and reviewed annually
and are therefore subject to change.
Candidates for the graduate certificate must complete all unit prerequisites as specified in the details of units, to the satisfaction of the course director.
