Masters Qualifying in English with a research component


General information

The masters qualifying with a research component is offered for on-campus study at Clayton only. The program provides a transition between the bachelors degree and the research masters or PhD, enabling students both to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary, and to demonstrate their suitability, for higher research.
The program is normally completed in one year of full-time study or two years of part-time study. All MA coursework units are offered subject to sufficient student numbers and staff availability.

Entry requirements

Candidates for admission to the masters qualifying with a research component should normally hold a bachelors degree with a minimum of a credit average in the third part of the major sequence.

The masters qualifying with a research component consists of four 12-point units:
