To complete the degree conversion, ambulance paramedics require the successful completion of subjects totalling 72 credit points, and MICA paramedics require the successful completion of subjects totalling 24 credit points, both with concurrent work experience.
The subjects required include four compulsory core subjects as follows:

Year 1

• PAR3010 Professional issues in paramedic practice
• PAR3020 Trends in pre-hospital care services

Year 2

• PAR3030 Ethical, legal and cultural issues
• PAR3040 Evidence based practice

These subjects will be supplemented by electives offered by MUCAPS, and a minor stream of electives chosen from outside the faculty.
