Graduate Certificate in Forensic Medicine*


General information

This course offered by the Department of Forensic Medicine aims to assist in the establishment of academic standards in clinical forensic medical practice. It will also develop practitioners' skills in providing clinical forensic services in the community.
The course is completed via distance education, and is not offered on a full-time basis. The course is open to graduates with the degree of Bachelor of Medicine or Bachelor of Surgery from an Australian university, or equivalent, and who have at least three years experience in clinical medicine.
On completion of the course, graduates should be able to demonstrate a range of skills and knowledge, which include:

Assessment

The nature and content of the course require a range of assessment methods to be utilised. The assessment methods include assignments, case studies and presentations, case book, and oral presentations.
