The Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Accounting is designed specifically for
those students who wish to meet the professional educational needs to complete
the CPA Australia program (formerly known as the ASCPA.
Applicants require a pass degree with a major in accounting, or a recognised
professional accounting qualification; or an equivalent qualification from a
recognised tertiary institution. Candidates may be eligible for a maximum of
five credit exemptions for subjects considered to be equivalent to particular
subjects in the course of study. Refer to the relevant course director for
further details.
This is a fee-paying course. Candidates should consult the Department of
Accounting and Finance as to the 2001 course fee. Course fees are set and
reviewed annually and are therefore subject to change.
Graduates will meet the academic requirements for admission as a member of the
CPA Australia.
Candidates who successfully complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced
Accounting with an average grade of credit or above may apply for admission to
the Master of Business (Accounting).
