The Master of Engineering Maintenance Management extends the work undertaken in
the graduate diploma program. Credits can be negotiated for studies in the
graduate diploma which have been completed to an approved standard.
This course extends the work undertaken in the graduate diploma program.
This course satisfies the continuing education requirements of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
There
are three entry points for this course:
1. Completion of the Graduate Diploma in Engineering Maintenance
Management of this or another university with an average unit grade of
70 per cent or better.
2. Completion of the Graduate Certificate in Reliability
Engineering, followed by the Graduate Certificate in Maintenance Management,
with an average unit grade of 70 per cent or better.
3. Direct entry for graduate engineers holding an honours degree or
other higher qualifications.
A special application for candidature form is required in addition to the
normal application form, and can be obtained by email from the course
coordinator. The same other requirements apply as for the graduate diploma:
employer letter and certified copies of testamurs, and access to a suitable
computer.
Residential schools apply as for the graduate diploma program.
The course consists of units listed as for the graduate certificates and diploma, plus further studies and completion of minor thesis (equivalent value 18 credit points and taken as the final stage). The content and duration varies with the entry level as given above. Entry types 1 and 2 are expected to take 24 to 36 months.

Assessment varies between units and is a mixture of assignments and examinations.
Students entering via entry types 1 and 2 are required to complete 84 credit points to gain the degree. Students entering via entry type 3 are required to complete 72 credit points.
