International students are those students who do not have permanent resident
status in Australia. Monash University currently has more than 2500
international students living overseas studying courses by distance education.
Many of these students are enrolled independently and are pursuing their
studies on an individual basis.
In a number of countries, including Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore
and Thailand, some Monash distance education courses are conducted in
conjunction with a local tertiary institution. These local institutions provide
administrative and student support services to students. These courses
